Our Monthly Maker

Here is a message from Jack and Julia, the makers from Century Farm Crosses!
"In 1896 our Grandfather was deeded land from his Father and at once began to build a house for his new bride. He also built 2 packhouses, a smoke house, a corn crib, and other barns to support his small farm. Through the years each ensuing generation used or rebuilt many of those original buildings. Recently we were pleased to find some very old pine ship lap taken down in 1998. They were very nicely stored in a silo trough which actually preserved them beautifully. Along with this we found much lumber cut from old growth pine. In addition, a 100 year old swamp chestnut oak, and old Cedar trees have been a source for many of these crosses. We are pleased to repurpose this precious wood."
