Made in NC offers a vibrant retail and corporate gifting program for any occasion. In collaboration with our clients, we individually design each gift to maximize their budget and impact. Made in NC works with companies needing any quantity of gifts from North Carolina makers, showcasing the incredible options crafted by our great North State's artisans. From concept to shipment, each gift is hand crafted by our talented and creative staff in New Bern, NC, with each customer and their recipient in mind.
In 2013, a customer came into the Galley Store and asked for a gift basket filled with North Carolina products. Always wanting to meet the needs of our customers, we set out on a mission to fulfill her request. It was challenging to find a one-stop-shop for NC products. Products had to be purchased from individual websites from individual vendors. Not only did we have to order each product from individual vendors, we first had to know the vendor existed! Searching for vendors and ordering products one-by-one was time consuming and the shipping costs were expensive. But, in the process of seeking out North Carolina products, something amazing happened. We started reaching out to vendors, getting to know the products, and, more importantly, getting to know the people. We learned about their passions, motivations, desires, and drive that led them to leave their full-time jobs and take the risk of starting their own small businesses. We become friends with the people behind the products. The products took a backseat to the people who created them. We wanted to share these people, experiences, and products from North Carolina. We wanted to highlight the talent, passion, and stories of North Carolinians who are living their dreams each and every day.
In 2017, we decided these talents needed to be curated into storefront- Made in NC was born. Made in NC curates the best of North Carolina products and offers them in one location. Family recipes become best-selling products. Legacies carry on and grow through the products offered by Made in NC. Made in NC is the only place to support not one, but many, local small businesses. Everything you buy at this local small business supports other small businesses in your home state. Shopping at Made in NC exponentially expands the concept of shopping local. Our mission is to bring the best of North Carolina to you.
