Laura Park

A self-taught artist, Laura’s favorite childhood memories took place in her grandmother’s art studio, where her passion for pattern and color were born. A former elementary school teacher, and mother of four, Laura took to painting full time in 2012, drawing inspiration from other established painters, the change of seasons, and her travels. Laura’s art, playful and layered with a beautiful pastel palette, soon captured attention for its sophisticated abstract strokes and color studies. Before long, her paintings were on display at several well-known art galleries in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Atlanta. 

Laura Park Designs launched in 2016 after Park began photographing her abstract designs and creating digital patterns that could be transferred to fabric. Creating pillows from her vibrant and original textiles, Park took her designs to the New York Now market trade show, and five years ago the brand was born. What began as just pillows and fabric, is now bedding, wallpaper, tabletop, paper goods, and more. 

You may recognize Laura Park Designs from her numerous collaborations with other creative talents; LeighDeux, the Charlotte-based dorm-decor business; Wildwood Home; Annie Selke of Pinecone Hill Pillows & Bedding, and Dash & Albert Rugs; Holly Stuart Home Placemats & Tabletop. Today, Laura Park Designs products are sold in boutiques nationwide, and our fabrics are available to the trade in over twenty-five showrooms throughout the U.S. 

Charlotte, NC, is home to our recently opened flagship store where our full collection of lifestyle products is designed to bring beauty and color to every interior. 

A native North Carolinian, Laura lives in Charlotte with her husband Trip, also an artist and cartoonist, their four nearly grown children, and three dogs.
